Water Pump Upgrade

I have upgraded my water pump and accumulator.

SeaFlo Water Pump
https://www.amazon.com/SEAFLO-Pressu...rfy_rp_crs_0_t

Accumulator-Tank
https://www.amazon.com/SHURFLO-182-2...d_bap_d_rp_6_t

These 2 items come with connectors to build this assembly, including the strainer.

I mounted assembly to plywood.then screwed to stud with a piece of 'belt' webbing in between.

super quiet. And with low flow, it pulses.

Additional items needed found at local hardware store:

2 – PexLock couplers
4 – hose clamps
2 – 3ft ˝ in. ID braded hose

Yes, it's a great idea and clean installation but be sure to read the reviews on that particular pump regarding warranty issues.

You'll enjoy the accumulator ... Don't know what you paid for it, but fodder for others contemplating this upgrade. Menards or Lowes carry a 2 gallon pressure tank for around $50 and it is compatible with an RV water system. All you need is a 1/2" Sharkbite Tee for the bottom on a vertical mount and a strap hand formed out of light gauge metal to hold it to a wall or stud. Eliminates the instant on from your water pump after opening a faucet or flushing the stool. Here's a link from about 6 yr ago.
https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ht=accumulator

PS ... both examples so far in this post are self draining when winterizing time comes.

We ordered the same as Ron, plus I ordered the hose kit. What have others used for under the pump feet for vibration isolation?

I installed the same 1 quart accumulator. I'm thinking of moving it to the hot water line as an expansion tank to take the pressure of expansion/contraction off the tank. Then install the 2 gallon one on the cold line under the island sink with a T fitting to drain it for winterizing.

To answer your question regarding using other material under the feet of the pump for noise dampening, I used left over rubber drawer liner from Walmart. I just folded it over about 4 times then put a screw through it.
Others have used foam (computer) mouse pads.
Anything that will absorb vibration from the pump.
Also put 1/2" foam pipe insulation on every pipe you can reach. Especially put it between the pipe and any wall/frame surface. I slide it up the pipes behind the shower wall. Very effective.

If you install an accumulator tank on the hot water outlet side of the water heater, it will do nothing to relieve pressure in the water heater tank due to the check valve on the hot water outlet. The accumulator on the cold side will do what you are wanting.

I used a sheet of cork and a 1/8" thick silicone sheet. Super quiet compared to before. with adding the tank it was a upgrade well worth it.

Along the same line as this thread, is there a recommended water pump? I'm wanting to rig up a sure flow (or other brand) to pump water from a barrel of jug. Can one of these small pumps run long enough to empty a 35 gl barrel without burning up? I'm guessing it would take a little over 10 minutes to pump 35 gallons into the Monti.

I bought a pump that was way to big and had to be primed. to much effort. Any ideas or set up ideas are more than welcome.

with more water and 2 more batteries and 1 more solar I should be better set up for boondocking

The onboard water pump will suck water from a barrel or jug. Some use it to pump antifreeze when they winterize. But that is only a few gallons. I too wonder if the pump can hold up to continuous use for an extended period.

I use a 40 gal. water bladder and a 12V water pump from Harbor Freight. It works really well and stands up to continuous use.

Hey Ron the popular 45 gallon water bladder is sold by (ugh) Camping World at $112. But they are manufactured by New World MFG Inc. in Cloverdale, CA (Napa valley). Their web site claims they have a new (no idea when that was) eCommerce site for online ordering. Of course I can't find it. They might sell at a lower price than CW. Also of interest is they sometimes have "seconds" (the bladder had a leak which they fixed at the factory) that they use to sell at a considerably reduced price.

It can't hurt to contact them and see what they have today.

I'd love to see these water bladders and see if it would work in my truck. Not knowing the shape I'm wondering how it would fit with the hitch in the bed. I'll email Becky and see if I can't find out how to get to there e-commerce site. Seems like it would be better than my 35 gallon barrel.
Thanks for thhe information on the pump and the bladder

New world responded. This is pretty much what was already share but here it is.

From Stephanie @ New world:We are mainly a manufacturer, we do sell our own products as a retail seller but we don't have our own website for a lot of our products. I'm pretty sure you are referring to our 45 gallon RV Fold-A-Tank, you can call and purchase directly from us or purchase online by visiting Camping World's
We have a couple websites for individual products but we don't have all of our products online, we are getting a new website set up so hopefully soon we can get a online storefront, with more of our products, linked to it. Please share with your forum that we can also do custom water bladders, we do have some limitations but we can manufacture different sizes and have a couple different types of material that are FDA approved for potable water. As a side note we also make custom air beds for RV's, boats, planes, etc. and can make these to different configurations. Keep in mind that for anything custom you would need to contact us directly.
***
Second email from Newworld:If you want to order directly through us we cantake any orders over the phone. Our price is a little higher than CampingWorld, we charge $120 plus shipping (plus tax if in CA). I know a lot of peopleappreciate the convenience of online ordering, I figured their website would beeasiest way to order. You can share our number though, our toll free number is1-800-523-8853 or 707-894-5257. We have found the best advertising is word ofmouth

Yes, they do. They can pump for days on end. I used an old one to drain an above ground swimming pool. I had it connected to a 120 volt AC inverter to 12 volt DC output. I was more concerned about the inverter burning up using it that long, and it did get hot. The pump? stayed cool as a cucumber for the entire duration. I still have that pump.

I don't want to beat this to death or sound like a sales person but Newworld sent me another place they sell through that might be of interest to everyone. Better price than they quoted me to by direct.

-we also sell through Arizona RV Parts Inc. here's a link to the bladder on their website https://arizonarvpartscenter.com/rv-45-gallon-fresh-water-folding-storage-tank-cw1605/ .
