Slide gaskets / seals

We purchased a 2013 Montana 3526re last spring. The seals that are on the outside face of the slide need replacing some have stick to the side of the unit. These are NOT the wiper seals that the slide passes by as it moves in and out.

My question is does anyone know of a source for the gaskets / seals

I would check Trekwood.com as they are a large supplier to Keystone. I have never personally used them but have read of all the others that have on this forum.

They are proud of their stock and charge accordingly, it has been stated also.

I know what seals you are talking about. Mine are black with a whiteish color where they press against the trailer sides. Are yours like this.?

Most RV dealers should stock the material, but there are several thicknesses out there.

Thanks, I am sure they have it. They seam to have everything but I don't know which of the many gaskets they have is the right one. I'll pull one off tomorrow and see if I can match it. I'm not sure what it should cost but I looked at a 4" square junction box as a price example they want $12.95 and I can buy it at Lowes for about $1.50.

This is the bulb seal that is attached to the inside of the slide flange.

This is the wiper seal that is attached to the perimeter of the opening and seals against the roof and sides of the slides.

You order by the foot and they cut it to the length you order. I usually order a length so I end up with about a foot extra. In order to replace the bulb seals, you have to remove the plastic corner pieces and they just slide out and the new slides in.

That first link is exactly what mine look like. I assume that the different colored area that sits against the camper prevents them from sticking to it.

I just replaced all of my horizontal seals (bulb and wiper) on a 2012
seals came from Tiara treckwood.com
easy to do - beware the little screws in the corner pieces hold the bulb seals in position, the verticals tend to drift down.
Mineral spirits works well to remove gummy rubber, but keep it off of the roofing and clean the area after using

This material is a stock item. You need the dimensions and the cross section type.

I had the same problem. I ordered "AP Products 018-338-BLK Slide-In Secondary Seal" from Amazon for my 2013 Montana 3400RL. 13/16" x 11/16" x 30' roll. Also bought a can of "Premium RV Slide Out Rubber Seal Conditioner and Protectant - 14 oz - Thetford 32778" from Amazon. All is good now.

Replaced mine last month, hardest part was cleaning the mess off sidewalls and track for the bubble seal. Also, make sure screws in corner caps/trim don't go all the way thru the seal, had to cut/shorten all my screws.
3 - 30 foot rolls did the whole unit. From local dealer under $250. cdn.

Do you ever use a cleaner on the secondary bulb seal? If I recall I used the rubber conditioner on the bulb seal and it appears to have caused it to become sticky. I am thinking that it may not need to be conditioned.

I've used Thetford Rubber Seal Conditioner which seems to work Ok...
