In Texas it's move over, or slow down to 20 MPH UNDER the posted speed. So if you cannot move over and the posted speed is 65, you have to slow down to 45. (Unless that has all changed in the last few months)

Thanks Carl for info re fine. Read it in the newspaper in Arizona last fall. I always check out info for hoaxes/myths on the Internet. Guess newspapers aren't any more reliable. We have always moved over, so it isn't something new to us. It's just common sense.

Dennis, I agree totally about cell phone/texting. And as a passenger I notice that when a semi-tractor trailer starts weaving and we go by, they are on the phone, texting or reaching for food. (my rant)
