New end cap

A week ago we brought our Montana home from the dealer. We had to have the end cap replaced due to damages last winter. We don't have the gel coat (3400RL, 2005) finish, just regular fiberglass. The new end cap is VERY glossy and I think it must be gel coat finish. Just wondering if we should "leave well enough alone" and hope we can shine the rest of the camper up to kind of match or take it back. What would you do??

Keep it! The gelcoat resists the bugs better (or at least is easier to clean!)

Its just new. I don't believe they have different grades of caps, they are all the same. It probably just looks wierd to you, like the new guy in the storage lot next to all of our aged units.

Agree with bsmeaton, we were told when we purchased that the caps were all the same and came with gel coat and that the sides were the only option for gel coat or not.

Thanks for your replies! Our work is cut out for us! Why didn't we have the camper washed and waxed when it was already at the dealers---90 miles away?? Too late, smart. I think it will have to be done in sections but if it gets even close to shining like the end cap it will be worth it!
