you got it! Those are the wee beasties and their guts are very nasty on paint and chrome, they will actually etch the chrome so think how hard they are on paint. Personally I follow the wash with a coat of REJEX, I get it at True Value. It really makes it easier to remove the bugs and it is the best protection against love bug juice damaging your paint and chrome AND gel-coat. The REJEX acts very much like RainX but the paint is not tainted with the REJEX. I had a big problem getting some body work done on my Suburban after Betsy hit a deer. I had polished the Suburban with RainX but it had gotten into the paint and even sanding didn't the new paint stick. They tried to sand to metal but couldn't feather it so they just replaced the fender from a junker and just repainted that. The Rejex does not affect the paint that way... Dave and Betsy

A couple of tips to add.....

1. Buy a cheap, aluminum paint roller extension from Wally World, Home Depot or Lowes. I have been using it with my soft wash brush for almost two years. It is a little heavier and longer (12') than the wash handle that comes with CW or WW wash brushes. Don't buy the one the hose hooks to. Too heavy and they break real quick.

2. I use liquid wash/wax. Or...I use a quick-clean wash/wax spray.
Here is the recipe:
  • One TBSP of Ivory liquid
  • One TBSP of liquid wax/I might try ICE
  • One quart distilled water
Shake well, add to small spray bottle. Spray, wipe clean/dry with soft terry towel. Works well when you don't have water for a good wash or touch up. I have been using for about two years. We are in FL and one bottle got too hot and caked up some. So shake it well.
