Only needed the service twice in the past 13 years, so they've made money on me, but I wouldn't be without it.

With the hugh increase in our numbers, it seems reasonable that service providers ( GS and their subs ) would be strained to keep up with our needs- which are always sudden and stressful- IMHO- Don

Do not expect quick service if there is a local problem like a snow storm. We needed GS ERS one time to tow my friends truck down to the local dealer. Called GS and we were told one hour (pat answers for them). Just happened that morning it had snowed in and around the greater Seattle area. After 1 1/2 hours went by we called GS again and were told... "Well due to the snow story in your area most of the tow trucks are out towing cars out to ditches, and all the big road side services contract with the same vendors so AAA, GS ERS, FORD ERS, etc... all have the two trucks use up in your area right now... your just going to have to wait."

The last time we used GS ERS we had blown a tire on I-35 a hundred miles or so north of Oklahoma City. This was January 2006 during all those prairie fires. The GS lady called me back saying she was having trouble finding a service who had anyone not out servicing the fire trucks. In a few minutes she called and wanted to conference call me with the owner or manager of a service. He had some questions so he'd know if a truck returning from a fire might have the right equipment. They did and they came and took care of us on their way back to the shop to resupply or whatever. GS stayed on the phone until it was confirmed we'd get service. They then called back a half hour or so after the estimated fix time to see if we'd been taken care of. I was very pleased with their followthrough. But I understand David's and Jo-Anna's concern with the problem they encountered. That would upset me, too.

Jo-Anna,
Go get 'em! ...hate it when they use the "policy" word to demonstrate their poor judgment and lack of concern for common sense.

I have not yet signed up for GS Road Service. I will went I start traveling more. My parents have had to use them. They threw a wheel bearing on the 5th'er. GS sent out a flat bed trailer with a big rig. They pulled the truck and trailer right up on the flat bed and took them were they need to go. So far they have no complaints about GS.
