12 cf refrigerator in 358rlt Mountaineer

Well, tomorrow we leave for the Daphne, Gulf Shores, Pensacola area with our new 2013 358rlt Mountaineer for our first longer trip. Checked it out for 4 days in August. When considering a new RV, I didn't think the larger 12 cf frig was an important factor as I had never had one in all our other rvs. But luckily, this one was in the rv we decided to buy. Am I glad. It was so nice being able to put in lots of ice from our ice maker at home, plenty of meat, veggies AND ice cream. Also didn't care about a king bed, but it came in this one and I love it. Does any one else have this FP? Trying to decide where to put computer and printer. It does not have a desk, but I think I can manage without one. I highly recommend the larger frig if you are shopping for a new rv. So far have only found minor problems. Hope all your travels are fun and safe ones.

I can not see us without the king bed and double door fridge. The desk is really nice in the 340RLQ. Love my Montana, its a 07 model and very few problems and those were small. I better knock on my wooden desk.

We're queen bed folks and really like the room when we made them take the king out, but that's why the world goes around "different strokes for different folks". On the other hand we couldn't live without the 12cft refrigerator. If you full time or even part time the frig is a must.

I agree, we have the 12 cf frig and the kng size bed in our 2011 Big Sky 3580RL and love them. The other things we insisted on was the 6 point leveling system and the Goodyear G614 tires. We also added the second air conditioner and the X-Factor cross braces.

Congrats Carole on the new rig! Have fun in Pensacola...my dad was stationed there as a Jump Master a long time ago.

We just got back from a 6day trip and I agree this 12cuft refrig is the bomb! I could carry lots of drinks, lots of food, and if we did eat out the leftovers fit without having to tip them up on end. I made lunch the night before our outings, had enough ice packs to travel in the truck with, and most importantly could store wine bottles upright!

We love the size of the king bed but are going to switch to a select comfort radial king because that is what we have at home and we love it. We want to add a 2nd AC unit in the bedrrom, and a washeer dryer so I don't have to do a bunch of laundry when we get hime from a 6 day trip. For some reason my 6yr old goes through a lot of clothing when we are 'camping' and he is drawn to dirt every where we go!

Can't help with the floorplan because our unit is smaller and different. Best of luck to you in your travels. My best advice is constantly check nuts and bolts to make sure they are secure and don't put breakables in any cabinet up high because after a few hundred miles the doors don't want to stay closed.

Have fun!

Yep, 4 door fridge and King Sleep number we a must as part of our upgrade in the SOB. We had also added the Level-up, second AC, and Winegard Auto Sat Dish to our Montana. We used a wireless printer and found it would fit in one of the cabinets above the sofa on our 2955. Wasn't that handy when you needed to change ink cartridges, but we made do. Didn't need a desk for the 'puters as we have two laptops and as the name implies used them on our laps.

Yes, I also love the 2nd AC in the bedroom. I thought about a wireless printer since I have the laptop and IPad. That may be the answer to my problem. Thanks for all your comments. We are staying at Maeher State Park in Spanish Fort, AL on a bay site whitch is very nice. Nice large paved sites.torrential rain yesterday but nice and humid today. Have a great day.
