Garmin Recall

Garmin is recalling some nuvi models. Only the 200W, 250W, 260W, 7xx and 7xxT (where xx is a two-digit number) model numbers may be affected. These units were sold worldwide.

We have a Garmin 765T that quit working on our way to the G.L. rally. We sent it back to the factory in Kansas yesterday for repair. We had to have a Dock Door number and a RMA number. They will not accept anything without these two numbers.

This was on television tonight.

Thanks for heads-up, Dennis. I checked my SN with their site and found that mine IS recalled. I hope it lasts until after the fall rally. I can't be without it until then.

Did Garmin send a recall notice? I have not received anything from them and it is registered?

John I didn't receive a recall notice. I happen to catch it on the evening news and the checked on their web site. Funny thing ours stopped working on the way to the Great Lakes rally. Ours won't charge when plugged into cigarette lighter. We had already sent it in when we heard about the recall. I checked our serial number and it was NOT on the recall list but they think the problem is in the battery.

Thanks, my unit is not recalled...2007 Nuvi 750. They check by serial number.
