To dual or not to dual

Wa are new to this game and are considering full timing in a Montana 3380. We have a blank page as far as the tow vehicle is concerned but like the Chev Duramax crew cab. Several seasoned trucker buddies recommend the long box (so we dont take out the rear window when backing in) and the one ton dually (for stability). Your comments on the pros and cons of this (over a short box 3/4 ton) would be really appreciated!

Thanks,
Les and Julie
