Discovered new hiding place

I was doing some things in the Bedroom of our new Monty 3400RL and I saw this hole in the top of the wooden valance over the window above the drawers. I looked at it closer and saw that it was in the middle of a long rectangle. I pulled and it came off exposing a 3 inch deep by maybe 4 inch wide and maybe 16 inches long compartment. Just letting those of you that didn't know it was there, like me, that it is there if you want to hide or store little things.

The right hand side of the upright on the dresser also opens to reveal another compartment with hooks inside for hanging things. Just in case you hadn't found that yet either.

I knew about the jewelry and key place on the right hand side. Our Salesperson told us about that one. But, he never said anything or was it in any literature that I saw about the one on top of the valance.

The new 10TH Anniversary models have fabric around the bedroom window and the hidden area is in a new place, but I am not telling where. It wouldn't be a secret place if I told where it is. If you get a chance to see the new models, see if you can find it.

He probably did not know about that one.

Someone is going to let the cat out of the bag eventually and describe where the 'hideout' is. May as well be you who gets the infamy.

I know, I know but will not divuldge. But,do most of you think the new fabric around the window as opposed to the wood is a great improvement? I personally do not. I think it looks cheaper, just my Op, paper

I pulled up to a campground, opened the slide and found the wood valance laying on the bed with the screws ripped out of the wall. That looked kinda cheap too!

What in the world would have pulled the valance out of the wall while just driving down the road? You must be doing some heavy duty towing at a high rate of speed over dirt roads to get that to happen. Just kidding. I sure hope they aren't put together that cheaply.

I don't think the valance "pulled" out of the wall, I think it "fell" out of the wall!

In reality, I was concerned that the dresser jumped up and pushed it, but the dresser seemed pretty secure.

We have a new 10th anniv 2008 3400 rl and have not been able to find the new secret place. It does have fabric for the valances and I do like it. We had a 2004 298 rls Mountainer before this new Montana. Lots more room in this one. So far with a few minor problems that will need to be fixed when we get home.

Ronald, I still can't tell you where it is, but I would look on the left side of the dresser if I was looking for it.

The area under the refrigerator can be made into a good secret space or storage area needed.
