Slide Toppers with Awning?

I tried to get slide toppers installed on my Montana. The Dealer ordered a set from Carefree of Colorado only to find that they could not install them because my kitchen slide has an awning on it not leaving enough room for the topper brackets. I had several conversations with Carefree and sent them pictures. They said they did not have a product that would work within the limited amount of space.

I looked back at the 2017 Montana build sheet and found that if toppers are ordered from the factory, they only come on two of the three slides. Maybe they have the same issue.

Anyone else run into this problem? Solution?

Same on my 2016 3160rl I had to get up on roof in the Grand Canyon in 2017 to get snow that had frozen off before closing slide and almost slid off roof.

We had them on our SOB trailer and they made so much noise in the wind we both said we would never get them again. I really thought they would be nice but they were a huge disappointment to us.

I've been looking for slide toppers for my 2019 3120 and think I will have he same problem. The second patio awning hardware will conflict with the slide topper awning hardware. Also, there i not much clearance between the flange edge and the main patio awning arm.

Has anybody found a solution?
