We stayed at Tombstone Territories RV Park (about 1/2 hour from Benson)for a month 2 years ago.Park was older but nice sites, friendly staff and lots of activities. Driving through Benson area did not see any better RV Parks?

Jim,
Just west of Benson on Hwy 90 is Cochise Terrace- a nice park but up high and windy
right in town behind Safeway is Butterfield RV Park it's a nice park but haven't stayed there
On the east side is San Pedro RV Park. This is a nice park, big sites, nice people and competitively priced.
Tombstone Territories is nice but close to nothing
As a bonus Benson is only 7 miles from Mt. Charlie
If you have any questions let us know

Have stayed at Butterfield, but only one night. Nicely laid out park. Amenities were outstanding. Pull throughs were a bit short, (only 50 ft.) . Would stay there again. Prefer Butterfield over Cochise Terrace.

Jim and Bev,
If you are an Escapee they have a very nice park on the East side of town. It gets pretty busy during the winter season but price is right. There are tons of parks all around that area. Good luck. Dennis and Mary Kay

We've stayed at the Tombstone park, just before you come into town - think it used to be a KOA. Nice park but a bit far from everything (Walmart ). Was looking at Valley Vista (Encore park) & SKP Saguaro - the Escapee park.
Any experience @ these??? In the RGV again this year, & looking for a change.
Thanks for all the recommendations guys...

Jim & Bev,
We've stayed at several of the parks in the Benson area and the Escapees park is the best value. The sites are huge. If you get one of the "regular" sites it may be very nicely landscaped. But we've always just gotten one of the "transit" type sites. Nice and large but little in the way of landscaping.
The Butterfield park was nice with trees and grass. Very centrally located. Good luck. Dennis and Mary Kay

We have stayed many times at Valley Vista and enjoyed staying there. I did not mention them because the smaller than San Pedro and has a new manager so I don't know what the atmosphere is like now. We'll stop by there and see what it's like there now.
