Battery cutoff

I have a 3791 RD 2018. There is a battery cutoff switch in the Convenience Center. Someone told me there may be a second one that has to be used as well to fully disconnect the batter for storage. Does anyone know where the second cutoff is?

You have to install it in the battery compartment.

On my 2018 3731FL there are two Battery Disconnects. Neither one by themselves will disconnect all power. Kind of crazy but thats how my Montana is configured. Here are two pictures of the disconnects. One is located in the convenience center and the other is off the battery. But Like others have mentioned The way the system is wired neither one by itself will disconnect all power.

If you install a battery disconnect on the negative side of the battery bank then ALL the power will be off.

The battery disconnect in the convenience center does not disconnect all of the 12V power users (Level-Up, Propane detector, etc) which results in dead batteries after a while. *IF* you have a residential refrigerator there is a second disconnect in the front compartment near the batteries. It is solely to disconnect 12V power to the refrigerator. So model numbers of nnn1 will have it and everyone else won't.

Add a disconnect at the batteries to ensure all 12V power is turned off.

You can buy a simple blade disconnect for install at the battery for around $10.

True. the one in your battery compartment is only for the Inverter. It lets you remove all power from the inverter that powers the fridge if you need to reboot it.

Battery Disconnect switch question

I have a 2016 Montana 3820FK 5th wheel. In the storage compartment I have a Battery Disconnect switch. When I go to put it in storage, which way (on or off) should I place this switch??? I have received different recommendations from different people, including the RV service shop!! Since I have had numerous electrical problems with batteries dead on numerous occasions, I am really confused now!!

When it is in the position shown in your photographs, are the batteries "cutoff?"
