Montana Poll on RV Travel

Every Saturday, RV Travel puts out an interesting newsletter. They usually have a poll or two. A new series they have recently started deals with customer satisfaction for each brand. Last week they asked Thor Motor coach owners to rate their rigs for quality, this week it's Montana fifth wheel owners. I take that to mean all Montana lines.

Here is the link to the newsletter:

https://rvtravel.com/rv-travel-newsletter-issue-869/

You have to scroll down to get to it.

It will be interesting to see what the results are! If you do not subscribe to RV Travel, try it for a while. I find it informative and entertaining. They also have a mini newsletter every Monday to Thursday with RV tips. They welcome feedback. They also welcome voluntary "memberships". Since they often criticize the RV manufacturers, they do not get advertising dollars from these entities. I am a voluntary member.

Thank you for the info. I put in my 2 cents. The Thor survey results went right as I thought it would. So far, the Montana survey results are pretty true. Thanks again.

So could non-Montana owners participate in the poll?

Okay, it looks like I screwed up. Those results were for the Thor motor coach poll.

The Montana is faring better, and is still open.

I don’t think they want non-Montana owners participating in that.

And the other qualifier is that it’s requested that your rig be 6 years old or less that you are asked about.

All things considered, that's a pretty high rate of satisfaction.

The intro to the survey asked that only Montana owners reply to it. Now how they know who are Montana owners or not is beyond my vision but that is what it asked anyway!

When you have 88% saying average or better that's very good and much better than i expected. I would have probably rated mine above average. There is no such thing as excellent in my book.

The poll is now really closed. Here are the results. It looks customer satisfaction for the Montana brand is pretty high! Two thirds of respondents rated their trailers as either above average or excellent!

I would have thought that there would have been a higher percentage in Average and where I voted our HC. The supplied low end mattress/furniture and the 5200 pound suspension on a 12K 5er dragged my vote down. The furniture change out was easy but the suspension upgrade to 6K and a bit more() took more time and bucks to get it right.

Before the weight police jump all over me, yes, I'm aware that the cert tag still limits me but we always travel light and under that max anyhow

We switched out our mattress the first year. I voted above average. I think it is all relative, like where you came from. We traded in a Crossroads product that was nothing but trouble the whole four years we owned it. We think this trailer is wonderful, by comparison.

We went from a Newmar Kountry Aire and a Glendale Titanium so that quite possibly helped drag down our expectations a bit

Wonder what the scores would have been if it would have been limited to the last two years?

Or do it again once the 2018 HC masses find out about the gearbox debacle and their warranty has ran out.

Had I known about this poll, I would have rated my Montana as below average. I presently own a 2010 34’ Montana, which is our touring fiver, a 2004 Mobile Suites which we bought new, and is our live in trailer and towed it for 11 years but no longer. We also own, bought new is a 31.5’ Prowler which we bought new in 1998. It is parked on 10 acres outside Ruidoso NM where it has been for over 12 years. Our Anniversary edition Montana doesn’t hold a candle to either one, sad to say.
