North Texas Gathering ?

How would we go about getting an annual gathering started in North Texas in early spring or fall. Canton Texas is an ideal location with full service sites ($16 per night)and a large conference center to hold all activities in - this is the First Monday Trade Days site.

We are in Tyler through April and would be interested. We are approaching retirement and will be leaving the area then.

Send a message via Skype™ to padredw
Just post the dates and details. Although we are SOB, we could surely stop by to say "Hello!" We can be there in a little over an hour.

Our plan is to stay in Canton on the way to Colorado and on the return. Where is the $16 deal?:

The $16 a night for full service (e,w,s) is at the Canton Trade Days Civic Center. That rate is only for group events scheduled at the center. We just had the National Dutch Oven Gathering there in October 2012. These sites are not available for individual use except during First Monday Trade Days each month. Reservation for the next month are accepted the Tuesday after first Monday at the Trade Days office. they fill fast.

I started this discussion.
If we can get two or three people to team with us to coordinate,
we will look into setting it up.

Southwest Rally may happen.....
Will talk with Canton office people tomorrow about available dates and then it has been suggested to look at a RV part near Nacogdoches Texas as being more in the route the snow birds take heading north in late March.

Open for suggestions - we have never be to a regional rally - so experience and knowledge is more than WELCOMED......

Joe,
We will help where we can. We were the Wagonmasters for the Spring Montana Rally in Kerrville a few years ago. Also attended another Spring Montana Rally in Tucson.
