Service Center

We are having a problem with our furnace and since we are going to be at the fall rally I figured on getting an appointment with the service center to have them repair it. I do have an extended service contract and was wondering if they work with your contract provider like a dealership?

I realize service agreements vary but has anyone had repairs done there using their extended service contract?

Thanks,

Phil

The trick is to get the appointment. Once there, they won't charge you for any work they do. They really are set up to do warranty work that is beyond the capability of the dealers. They do sometimes make special concessions for rally attendees.

I would make the appointment and see what happens. Worstc ase is they can refer you to a qualified repair facility. We have used our Extended Warranty (service contract) times with no problems.

Why not ask when you make the appointment?

Not surprising as there are 75 units booked for the rally. When they say early they mean early. They start work at 4:30AM.

They told me I needed to be there at 7:30. I thought that was early enough. Glad I didn't get the "first" appointment.

You're lucky, Phil. If you overnight at Camp Keystone (pads and w/e hookups in their parking lot) they will knock on your door at 7am. It seems to me a few years ago they were out there at 6am but my memory is probably acting up. Again. By the way, Camp Keystone is for those with appointments and there are only 3 (4?) sites. So, it's first come, first served. I've seen rigs lined up crosswise behind other rigs. There are enough electrical hookups to do that.

Thanks Steve. I will probably just stay at the fairgrounds and drive it over that morning and drop it off.

I would not do that. Go to camp Keystone, and be there when Darrel comes knocking at the door, before 6 a.m. when we were there. You don't want to get behind on the work list. Just my personal opinion of course.

Nice Truck Phil, unless you have modified the sleeper comparment you have a place to sleep. As for Camp Keystone we were there twice and I can tell you if Darrel is still there you will be taken care of. The second time we were there we had red taped the things we wanted checked and Darrel thought that was funny. We also met a lot of great people there. And yes there was more 5th wheels there that parking sites but we got everyone on water and electric. Good Luck on your visit to Camp Keystone. GBY......

P.S. Get busy if you only have 75 Montana's booked for the Rally. Surely you can get 43 more and if you do that will be 1 more than we had at our Rally in June, our site number was #417. . We had one owner pulled in from Cal but his 5th wheel and Freightliner was being pushed by a Smart Car.

Phil, if you decide not to overnight at Camp Keystone, then be at Keystone by 7:30. And that means rig unhitched and your truck out of the way so at 7:30 they can haul your Montana into the service center. We just overnighted at Camp Keystone and set the alarm for very early.

we've pretty much decided to go on over Wed. and spend the night there. I'll be looking some of you up at the rally for directions.

See you all in a few days!!

Phil, if you use a GPS, the coordinates for Camp Keystone are

N41.54692 W85.80198

Otherwise, from the fairgrounds...

West on CR 34 to the light at US 33.

South on US 33 past Walmart to the light at Kerchner/CR38.

Right/West on Kerchner/CR38 to the light at CR27/Diedorff Rd. - just past Dutchmen on the right and Keystone on the left.

Left/South on CR27 to the first left.

Take the first left/east (Davis Dr.). It's a pretty new road not on most maps. Camp Keystone and the service center are on your left (north).

Here is the service center. Camp Keystone is on the lower right.

By the way, the street at the bottom of the picture is Davis Dr.

If all four sites are filled, you can pull in crosswise (up and down on the picture) behind the other rigs. Each electrical unit has both a 50 and a 30 amp outlet so two can connect there. The water can also be shared if you have a Y adapter. Two rigs can fit along the backside. That's the right side in the picture.
