KR1 router
Well I just got our Verizon Air Card and so far have been very impressed. Some of you have the Kyocera KR1 router and I did a Google search and found it on line, is this where you purchased it? Price was $230 appprox. after rebate. We will be traveling soon and wanted to buy locally if possible. Checked CompUSA but they did not show it available there. Thanks in advance

Both jrgwdenner and I have the KR1 and we both bought ours online through Booster Antenna. Their service and tech support are great and I highly recommend them.

Thanks for the speedy reply, I will check them out. Plan to use the KR1 in the stick house and drop the DSL.

trukdoc, if you check that link you will find the answer to any and all questions. I think it will take most aircards (not Express cards, they are newer.) Glenn and I have different aircards and they both work, both with Verizon, I think. We also dropped our dial up account and use the KR1 router both on the road and at home. It's one of the best changes we've ever made.
Booster-Antenna.com is the best place to buy one. They have great support.

I use the Verizon Air Card without the router. Only problem is that I am the only one that can use it. If you have more then one using it at the same time, you need to go thru a router. As soon as Bill completes his contract with his Cingular Card we will be getting the router and dropping his Cingular. It stinks and costs $80 per month. He can't get on 75% of the time. My Verizon is great about 95% of the time for the area's we have been in which is about 1/2 of the lower 48 plus Alaska.

Glad to hear that you're getting the router, Helen, as I know you'll enjoy it. Don't forget the $50 rebate ends at the end of the month.
