2989RL pocket door

I need a little help on this problem I have with the pocket door on my 2980RL, if you look at the first picture you will see there is a peice of wood that is a filler, with decaled wood grain on it. it seems to be seperating and moving twards the stairs.



Has anybody had this problem or know what might be going on down there, the piece of wood filler seems to be about 3" X 7" tall, and how it is conected and getting into the area I dont know.



If I knew how to access the area I would use a piece of channel and screw it across the back and conect all three pieces.

Any Ideas out there, I surly would appreaceate it.

Ours is built a little different than yours. Ours has two pieces of vertical trim that cover each edge of the filler piece. The vertical trim runs from the bottom of the corner molding to the carpet. I think ours was made in March of 04 as we picked it up in April. Don't know if they changed something or just left the trim off.

Ours has a molding that extends to the step.
