Difficult Flush handles

We have a 2009 Montana (3465) and have had problems with the flush tank tee handles. Both the black tank handle and the gray tank handle have been very difficult to close (push back in). I don't believe that deposited material is the problem since they have both been difficult to close right from day one.
I'm considering taking the under belly off and replacing the valve and lubricating the push-pull cables but I thought that I would see if anyone else has had problems first.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

We add cooking oil to tanks after flushing. Lubes slide valves well. Also remove handles from convenience center wall and run lubricant down tube . Works for me.

I think most of us suffer from this problem. Cable lengths are often long, hard to get to, and can get kinked.

Liquid Calgon is the solution. Add a couple of ounces to your black or gray tank after each cleaning and after a couple of cycles .... voila! .... freed up valves!

One other thing you might check is where the aluminum rod goes through the frame. There is an extremely high coefficient of friction between aluminum and steel. My valve rods got a bit bent and tended to bind going through the hole in the frame. I straightened the rods as best as I could and then sprayed silicone spray through the holes. This helped the binding. I also do the Calgon thing for the valve gate lube and tank clean...
