GENERATOR WIRES

I have a 2009 Montana, I'm unable locate the wires to hook up my generator. The unit is suppose to come pre-wired. Keystone says it is rolled up behind the bulkhead of the generator compartment, it looks like the bulkhead is installed before any thing else is so it won't come out. I took the bottom shield down, but was unable to find any extra wires. Does anybody have any ideas where I could find them? Also if you have a picture of where I could look it would be helpful. Ron

Do you have a control panel for the generator inside the unit?

Send a message via Yahoo to farmboy
Go to transfer switch and see if you can trace they from there.

There is a marked difference between pre-wired for the generator and the generator prep that used to be offered (it was in our 2007 model). In order for the generator to have any semblance of plug-and-play, there must be a transfer switch as Farmboy stated. On our old 3400 the transfer switch was readily seen in the battery compartment. In our new 3750 it is hidden behind a basement panel. If I recall correctly from previous postings, all that is provided with the pre-wired version is the control wire from the rig to the generator compartment. All other hardware and wiring must be added. All of the above pertains to on-board generators, not portable ones. Hope this helps.

Mine is a 2004. Looks to me that if you don't have a control panel then there will be NO wires to the generator, otherwise the wires would just hang at each end.
