Marine Hero Passes Away

Yesterday afternoon, a former Marine who joined the Corp during the Wake Island recruiting drive of WWII, slumped over in his chair and took his last breath. He lived a good life, raising and taking care of his family, and will missed by all who knew him. Although not a "hero" by some definitions of the term, to me he was a hero in every sense of the word, as he was my father.

Semper Fi Dad
We all love and miss you.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It can be difficult when we loose someone so close to us where it leaves an empty place in our lives. My prayer is for the comfort of your family through this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss Tom. Not a thing you want to hear about at all. Lost my mom this July and it isn't easy for sure.

From one Marine to another, rest in peace sir. Prayers are with you Tom, and your family in this time of need.

Tom,
Your loss is our loss. Our greatest heroes are those who paved the way for us to live the lives we live. Rest assured that it was men like your Dad who fought for us and those who are fighting for us now that makes this a great country. Been there.

Tom,
Be assured that he is guarding Heaven's Gates with all the other Marines who have graced our presence. May you and your family take comfort in knowing he is in good Hands.

I share your feelings Tom, my father was a WW2 vet as well, and was always a hero to me.

I pray for strength for you to get through this difficult time. It has been 19 years since my Lt. Col. hero passed on and I still miss him. How fortunate we are to have had these heroes in our lives.

Tom,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Our WWII HEROS are quickly leaving us. Your father helped preserve our way of life and thus he is, indeed, a true HERO.

Our condolences to you and your family.
