GMC Shortbox 5th Wheel Hitch

Probably been addressed many times but here it comes again. Just purchased a 2000 Montana 3280. Came with a Reese 15K hitch. Will it be satisfactory with my new shortbox GMC or should I spring for one of the double tilt and slide hitches. Looked at a Husky 16K slide model....seems nice but is it necessary?.Trailer has extended hitch pin already so it should not hit the back of the cab anyway.
