Sewer hose stowage +
on the 3400 RL, the stowage for the sewer hose uses a void with a door on it on the port side aft just fwd of the water connection hatch.
Guess what. There is an identical, actually larger void on the opposite side in the same place. I got a hatch assembly at a dealer, cut a hole with tin shears, and pop riveted the hatch in place. Sealed it with clear silicone, although for this purpose sealing is probably not necessary. I store two 25 ft water hoses, two filters, and a rubber spanner wrench in there. There are some wires running through the back of the void but I just tied them out of the way with tie wraps.

I have seen other units where there is a 6 inch pvc pipe mounted under the unit for hose storage. Caps on both ends. Seems to work very well and easy to get to.

How did you find that void without cutting a hole in it? Sounds like a great way to find more storage.

Where the cut out is for the rear stablizers, look up and feel around and you will see and feel the area where a storge area could be created.

Carlson that is a super idea!!! I am defintely going to add this storage area on my to do list. If as described, it is perfect for water hose, etc. Thanks for sharing.
