Ceramic commode

Have any of you changed out the original commode with the ceramic model that "offers home-like comfort"? How about those of you whose rig camewith this upgrade? Would it be worthwhile to change from the camping model to the luxury model?

That is one of the things on my list. I was wondering if anyone went for the larger full size bowl models and how did it fit in the room?

I see that either it is an included upgrade or is an option on the new rigs.

Not many opinions on changing out the commode. Guess we'll just have to make a decision and sit on it.

When we bought our 2980 we got them to swap out the original plastic one and got the dealer to install a SeaLand Traveler Lite. It has a bigger seat, the same size as your home toilet. Great for catching up on your reading. As I am 6'3" it is higher than the plastic ones so that makes it more comfortable. Also it has a wide lip on the inside so it resists spills when there is water left in when travelling. The flush mechanisim is very positive. The spray faucet on the side is also real handy for cleaning. I would do it again if we every replace or update our Montana.

Our 05 3670 came with a "ceramic commode". We did not ask for it, so I suppose it is standard issue now. It is nicer and higher. I guess you could classify it as "home-like comfort". Shouldn't be a difficult change. C.W. sell the same unit.

My 05 mountaineer came with the ceramic toilet. We ordered our unit in Oct.. The 05's on the dealer lot all had the standard plastic foot pedal toilets. I did not order it nor was it offered as an option. A pleasant suprise! My wife has tried it and says it is alot more like home. Seems to flush better too. The water comes out all around the bowl.

I feel deprived! My '05 3670 did NOT come with the ceramic toilet. Is it quieter than the plastic one?

Sorry you did not get one, but to answer you question, I think it is quieter, but the fan in our old one was so noisy, that it is hard to judge for sure.

Our unit came with the china toilet. We changed the toilet seat to a decent one and threw away the light plastic one that came with the toilet. Sure feels better.
