Turn pike fees

Heading out tomorrow to Boston. Taking 87 to 90 then 90 all the way to Littleton. Anyone know what I am going to have to pay these higway muggers for me letting them view my beautiful rig rolling down their turnpike????

Here's a link to the Mass Turnpike Tolls

I believe you will be a Class 2 - 3 to 5 axle vehicle including a trailer w/Single Tires

Have a safe trip!!

Jim & Vickie, see my "after action report" a couple threads above.

Dave, I could not find my exit ramp from I87 to I 90. I'll just end of paying what they want...

Glenn, The MA turnpike map was a little clearer than the NY one. Thanks

Hi Phil, If I was doing that trip...
Go back South to I84 East
East of Waterbury Ct take 691 East
East of Meridan Ct take 91 North
to I84 East
to I90 East
to I495 North

I run that all the time...your path is expensive and longer...but then again your not in a rush...I'm jealous for you

Oh, BTW, NYS decided a couple of years ago to assign H4 rating to ALL vehicles over 7'6" at rear axle. What that means is we're now paying Tractor Trailer rates!!!

Phil,
It's not that bad. Probably one of the cheapest TR's we have been on. We jumped on at the NY line and got off at Sturbridge with the SOB pulling for a total of 4 axles and it was less than $4. I think the entire east bound lane is like $12 give or take a couple. Mass pike is a straigh shot across the state and the only time you pay a toll is when you get off, or switch to another toll road. (They have a couple more around Boston into/out of the city.)

Well, it cost me $15.70 from Newburgh to state line, then was $8.70 from Mass state line to I 495N. I have never used these toll roads before. I expected them to be a little better than they were. I did like the service areas. The only problem I had was Good Sam was not able to assist me when my tire blew. Cost me another $150.00 for a service call, which I will send to Good Sam for Possible reimbursement. Only certain providers are allowed to do service calls on these roads. Buyer beware, I guess.....

Phil,
See - Mass Pike is cheap - but the road sure do show it.

Glad y'all arrived safely after the mishap.

Oh! And Happy Birthday Cathy.

There is a big political fight going on in Ma. now over whether to keep the toll road a toll or open it up. Apparently there are to many people using it that do not have to pay. This makes the rest of them unhappy. My question is "Where is the money going, the road is terrible". I don't use it.
