3380RL w/d closet

There is a box built in on the floor of the closet. Has anyone removed the box, so you can install a stackable washer and dryer? Any 3380RL owners out there that have taken out that box, so you have enough floor space for the stackable w/d.

Ronnelly, that box is designed so that you can turn it around and put a W/D in the closet. The way yours is (and ours) now gives us more space in the basement which is a good thing since we don't have the W/D either. I can't tell you how it is done but it should be an easy job. Good luck!

I have a stackable WD in my 3380. Don't know how they did it as it was part of the deal when we bought the unit. My only problem is that you can't see the dials because of the bi-folding doors. I just make a good guess. BTW, do you have any problems with water leaks at the bedroom slide closest to the closet???

We have never had any leaks with any of the slides. When I had my washer I just pulled the spring loaded guide at the top of the door and opened the bifold door all the way like a regular door. Was easy to use the control on the washer.

Welcome to the forum, FlyLady. Ronnelly gave you a good idea. It's easy to get the bifold door off the track whenever you need to do so. Some members have rehung the doors so that they open in the center which would probably make your dials more visibile. Nice to know that there's another 3380 out there!
