Window awnings

I am wanting to have window awnings installed over my table and sofa windows along with possibly having one installed over my computer desk window as well. Does anyone have them already installed? I am curious what brand and style you folks chose. I have found the carefree sunshade rear window shade I am going to order at the rv show for that huge back window, but having trouble finding ones for the side ones. Any input would be appreciated.

We had awnings put over our table and chair windows on the curb side slideout and over the sink window on ours and love them. We could not put over window by the stove because of clerance issues. We had the dealer do it when our unit came in and they are the same brand as the main awning that came from the factory. They work great and really help to keep sun out.

Installed the awnings on our living room slide, ordered them from camping world. They are an the same brand as the main awning. They only show the colors for the main awning. Just order the color of the main awning.

I installed one on the bedroom window (2955) purchase at camping world on sale matches the main awning brand and color. Love it

Montana Sky: Dave, you can get the Carefree Sunshades for the side windows as well. They work the same as the one for the big back window. I am in the process of ordering for the sides right now. I have to talk to the dealer to see if I can special order the length as the 55" std. length is too long.

Please let me know what you find out. I came across Carefree website last night and they seem to have exactly what I was looking for. Also found the rvtoystore.com has a few different options as well. I am leaning toward the Carefree awnings as you can order them from 3' on up to full size patio awnings. Thank you to all for your replies, will hit the dealership this week to see about ordering them intime for summer use.

We will be getting them installed at Quortsite this year, the ones we have decided to get are the ones called Full View, when there last year we wanted to get them but we Him & Hawed to long and had to head home got flooded out in our camp spot.

thanks for the link. I have decided on going with the same style of awnings except in the material like the patio awning is made of. I would rather have the full shade awning especially since that side and the rear window of my coach get sun from 12noon-8pm 7 days a week in the summer at the lake. By blocking that direct sun light I am sure it will help keep things much cooler inside.

You better believe it knocking down all kinds of solar heat. I have seen a few in MOC that have them on the rear window also, I for the life of me cant rember who it was but I'm sure that Colorado will be able to help me.

I am going to get window awnings and was looking at the carefree, I want to shade the large window in the dinning room its 6.5' and was looking at the XL full view fabric,does anyone have this.? and what about the Alumaguard is it worth the extra $60.

I looked at the full view, but decided I wanted to go with the solid material instead. I want to have the privacy the solid material provides and wanted the material to match the patio awning. I was told if you go with A&E awnings, you would be able to match the window awnings to the factory patio awning. As far as the Alumaguard, I decided against it. Wanted to make the window awnings match the patio awning. Just my thoughts...

We stopped at Middlebury, IN on our way home from Texas on Tuesday to have window awnings installed at Fox RV. We chose the A&E awnings that match the main awning. We chose to go to Fox RV because we had faith that they would do the job right with butyl tape and sealants in screw holes etc. We have only used them one day, but can vouch that they do make a big difference in the amount of solar heat coming through the windows, especially early and late in the day when the sun is low.

I will vouch for Fox RV. The one time I had fibreglass work done there (Keystone warranty on our 2001 2880RL) they did a top notch job.

got my new window awning up yesterday, it sure was easy the instructions were good and it sure cuts down the heat, I put it on the large dinning room windows 6.5' got the full view from canvas outpost/carefree of colorado.

We have them on each slide window, same as the awning. Dealer put them on when it came in. It is one thing that we are glad we did. We would also like to get one for the back window someday. As it would be good on keeping the sun and heat out.
