Dometic E4 error code and water dripping from AC vents
Hey everyone, I just came back from a trip where I woke up last day and found that all of the AC vents were leaking, quite alot of water in the kitchen near the fridge and an E4 message on my dometic thermostat. The AC was not coming on? Any suggestions?

Normchevy - post your year and model so the folks in the know can get a better grip on the situation.

The E4 error code indicates Open Circuit or an out of range outdoor temperature sensor. I'll bet there's a lot of water in the unit up top and causing a short/fault.

How would I check and fix that?

I would start by removing the cover on the unit on the roof and see if water is pooling around the control boards or anywhere. A drain hole may be clogged or any number of other things to cause it.

I'm 230 and it's ok for me. I usually just try to stay on the trusses.

Did your Air Conditioning units freeze up the last time you used them? Now the are thawing and leaking all over. The freezing could have damaged some wiring/connectors. Open the Air units from the inside and check around the filters. Also open the air units on top to see what you have accumulated up there. My other Class C would freeze up all the time and we had to clean it out and thaw the ice. Happens mostly in extreme temp differences. Really Hot outside and work the AC unit hard.

Mine too!
I had a similar situation with a brand new 2020 373RD, water coming out of the intake vents. Camping World was useless, as always, until an independent tech figured out it was a simple replacement of the gasket that sits between the AC unit and the roof. Mine was creased from the factory and was not stopping the condensation run off from going back in the RV, and then dripping out of my vents in the living room.
