holding tanks
We have a 2013 montana 3402rl and need to drill a hole in the floor but do not know where the holding tanks are located. Does anyone know where they are located or how I can safely locate them before I drill the hole. The hole will be inside the cabnet with the vac. cleaner. Thanks for your help.

There should already be one or more holes in that area. Remove the shelf and one other small panel(several screws)in the cabinet to the left of the vac and you should be able to access those holes. This is where they brought the wires for my Sat dish down from the vent above, and through the floor to the underbelly. The wiring for the Vac and plumbing to the kitchen sink is also in this area.
What is the purpose of you needing a hole in this area?

Will she have to kill you if she tells why the hole is needed? Just my attempt at humor- But inquiring minds need to know- JMHO- Don

Well as for the reason for the hole in the floor. I was thinking about a small propane heater inside so I would not have to use the furnace as much. Especially when dry camping. I know that when the weather is really cold the furnace must be used but wanted to reduce the amount of battery use when off grid. Also am aware that a window or something must be open for venting and so on. Have not found a sure way to do this yet and still in the investigating phase.
Thanks for your help and interest.

You see, I knew there was a reason I asked why you wanted a hole in that area. I was in those very cabinets today in my unit looking at the exact same possibility.
Great minds think alike, and we also are still seeking "all" other possibilities.
Let us know what you decide and good luck.

Here is what I did, it's much easier this way.
If you do this, install the shut-off-valve and use soap bubbles to leak check.
(Assuming your layout is the same as mine.)
