Fireplace Question
I read the post on the fireplace and also the one on the fireplace conversion someone did.
I like this feature for the very reason so many are noticing the quiet heating.
Would it work in a 30amp configuration? I suspect most of you have 50 amp wiring.
Also any good sources for the unit. I want it to appear built in and intentional.
Due to its being a heater are there bad locations to install it. Would the heat it puts off be bad to have near holding tanks? etc.
Of course I am thinking of the location under the television where most go. I don't know exactly what is behind there. But could find out easily enough.
Thanks
Loving the new unit.
Thanks for all the replies too, to my other posts.

I installed a firplace under the TV in my 3280RL which is a 50amp unit, HOWEVER most of the time I run off of 30Amps with no problems, as long as its turned off before wife hits her hair drier. Heat does not cause any issues with anything. Purchased it at a Building supply type store called Menards. Total cost to install under $200. Looks and works GREAT.

I have read several post that mention Furnace noise. Is the noise excessive..The furnace in our 96 Terry TT is not noisy at all..We never gave furnace noise a thought..same with the post on water pump noise...no problem with that kind of noise on the Terry..maybe we should just keep the Terry. Our ever faithful Terry has not had a single problem of any kind since we drove it out of the dealers lot. Just kidding of course we need more room but now will have them turn on the furnace and run the pump to compare noise levels.

The furnace and water pump are typically very noisy in all brands. You are lucky to not have noisy units. Every brand of TT I have ever owned were very noisy including this Montana that we currently have. You can change out the water pump for a quiet one, but there is nothing I know of to quiet down the heater. By the way the noise is worse inside the unit rather than outside.

The fan noise from the furnace is acceptable in my Monty, not near as bad as the Cardinal was. As far as the water pump, yes this is due a replacement in short order. The other irritating noise that I have will soon be gone. The ceiling fan has a constant grinding noise and today I bought a Hunter at Lowe's. Tomorrow replacement begins on the ceiling fan.

The furnace noise on ours is the fan motor running. It's not nearly as loud as the AC unit. It's maybe a bit noisier than in our prior units but this one is larger, more space to heat, so I assume the fan is larger to accommodate that and thus will be a bit noisier. The water pump, on the other hand, is noisy. Most of the problem with that is the lines in the pump compartment laying up against a wall, vibrating and making noise. And not having flexible lines for the last few inches into and out of the pump, to absorb the shock and thus keep the noise down. Some folks here have made significant improvements just by changing and/or insulating those lines. We've not bothered since we rarely use the pump.
