Going to acquire a 3475, 3650 or ?

We are hoping to get a new or used Montana model soon. We plan to leave it in a campgroud just south of Houston. We do not plan to tow it anywhere.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Donald,
Welcome to the MOC forum. There are other members here who are doing just what you are considering. I am sure they will be along shortly to give you some input. Are you going to live in the Montana full time or use it as a get away on weekends and vacations? Good luck in your search.

Welcome Donald to the MOC Family.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Probably do the same in a few years but just now we enjoy the travels.

My only suggestion is not to commit to any one campground until you are sure that's where you want to be.

Welcome to the MOC Forum. Great to have another enthusiest. If you are planning to leave you unit around the Houston area, you might want to consider buying from a local Houston dealer so that you will have direct relationship with one. There is only one official Montana dealer in the Houston vicinity. It is Holiday World. You might check out www.holidayworldhouston.com or call Tex Jolley at 800 598 1331. If you wish I can give you his cell number in a private message. Tex has been very helpful to me even though I bought preowned from a private sale. The service department has also been helpful in giving me trouble shooting advice and counsel over the phone. Happy RVing...

Hello Donald
Welcome to the forum. We are presently working with the folks at Holiday World Of Houston on a new 3295RK. They have a second dealership on I-10
on the west side of Houston in Katy. Phone number there is 800-983-7866.
How far south of Houston are you planning to leave your trailer. We are
60 miles south of Houston near the Lake Jackson area. Any questions you might have send me a private message, will be glad to help.

We have been full time 3 years and just traded 2002 3575 (Great unit) for a 2005 3670 and were very surprised to find after we purchased it and went to do our wash for the first time that the washer drains into the black tank!!! I'd think twice before buying a unit plumbed this way..

Butdoit I think you are plumbed wrong. I think it is supposed to dump in the grey tank. That could get nasty.

We are probably buying the 3475RL tomorrow. We will have it shipped to the campground just south of Pearland. We will stay a couple of months in May & June and then go home to do some summer/fall camping in our 20ft Roadtrek motorhome. We will go back to Texas for November through March.

Thank you for all the offers of assistance and advice. We have never had a fifth wheel. The space will be great. We spent July/August last summer and December/January/February in our little Roadtrek.

We are excited to get our Montana. We can now have both of our grandchildren stay with us at the same time.

We are dealing with "Big Ed" at Holiday World in Texas. They seem to be great people. We are also dealing with our local dealer who has some terrific show prices and we have know for several years. We can get a unit off the lot here. We would have to order a unit from Holiday World. They said it could be 8 to 10 weeks to get delivery. We will make our final decision tomorrow.
