3711FL front window?

Looking at the floorplans and pictures on the Keystone web site, it looks like the 3711FL has a front window. Is that new for 2016? Or do the 2015 models have it also? Do not remember seeing that on one we walked thru last summer.

New for 2016...
While touring the plant at the 2015 Fall Rally -
they showed us pictures of it. The only one produced at that time was on its way to California for a big show.

Are you sure it's a FL and not a FK?

After further review of web site pics it does appear that it has a front window. I also looked at specs and they really cut the capacity of the gray and black tanks!

I was also at the rally and I believe the one you speak of was the new Front Kitchen model.

Pictures of the 3711FL on the Keystone/Montana web site show a front window behind the pop up TV in the front living area. That caught me by surprise when I saw it. TV pops up over fireplace, in front of window.

And yes, the front kitchen floorplan also has the front window.

Makes sense. Easier and cheaper if they are producing more than one model that way.

Would be concerned about rocks flying up and breaking window. Just a thought. I know some folks that have an Open Range TT with a large window in the front and it blew out going down the road and ruined the inside from all of the wind blowing in on the TT before they could get stopped.

It is a growing and interesting concept that I hadn't realized they now have added to the 3710/11 series. We await feedback from those that are actually using these models.

Other manufacturers went to the large front window so Keystone followed.IMO it is a fad and will not last long. The front cap of our 06 3400 was a mess after thousands of miles. Dings, scratches, cracks. We had a front window in two of our TT's but they were covered when traveling.

I like windows. The more the better, specially in particularly scenic campgrounds. First thing I do in the morning is open all the day/night shades. But I also have concerns about the long term durability of a front window. Will be interesting to read comments after a year or two. I would guess it would be made of some high impact resistant material rather than simply shatter proof glass.

Alpha used the front window concept years ago, but had a cover similar to what you see in the older tag alongs

The units are nice but my concern is the daily cleaning of the window. If you are on the road there are going to be problems with the bugs committing suicide on the front end of unit. That means you will have to clean it every day when you set up or live with a spotty window of bug guts if you want to look out. If Keystone comes out with the peel off windshield sheets like they use in NASCAR I'd think about purchasing one. We have the front living room model unit at Leach Camper in Council Bluffs, IA and have visited it but the problem I see there is the teli is a pop up unit like Keystone used to put in the counters in previous years and when the teli is used it covers that front window. The front kitchen model is neat but it comes with a bench seating dinette. I would remove that and install a regular dining table and chairs if it were me but that is just my opinion on both.

As we all discussed it's a Crossroads design they acquired. Biggest complaint I heard about was "heat". I love my 3750, that said, heat in our front living room is already difficult to cool in Reddings 115 plus heat. We owned a 30 ft Komfort with glass window up front. Even with cover down the heat transfer was terrible. Perhaps in areas cooler than Redding it might work ?

You couldn’t take it to Alaska without having all of the local “Glass Doctor’s” on speed dial to fix your rock chip window

They had one at the quartz circle. The keystone rep said it cleans easier than the cap itself. It did look nice from the front outside as compared to the plain cap.

I agree it would be easier to clean than my cap,and I do that after every trip anyway so no big deal doing the glass,I Like it

I just say it at the local show 2 weeks ago. I thought it was pretty damn cool. Not for us but damn cool. I believe it just one some award too for floor plan. Of the year. I still like ours the best, as it sits new in my yard for the winter waiting for the first trip. That's what I get for buying a new one in the off season.

It's was in the 2016 3710FL we looked at (and ordered) at the Tampa show, but we saw another 2016 at another dealer late last year that did not have the window nor the retractable television.
