2015 Ram 2500 rail mounting issue

New Ram pickup came with gooseneck and 5th wheel frame mounts. I have had no success finding rail mounting kit to install slide rite hitch from previous truck. Appears frame receivers are some type of twist lock

Assuming you are talking about the Pullrite Superglide hitch, here is a link about their adapter for the Ram factory prep package. http://www.pullrite.com/products/oe-...andard-adapter

Demco makes what they call a "picture frame" adapter that you fit into the bed then your 5th wheel fit on to it.The part number is Demco 6099 Dodge Prep Rail Bracket. Lokk at this site http://www.jeepgunner.com/ram5thwheel.htm

Ram also sells the picture frame adapter. It was not available when I bought mine, so after a number of discussions with Ram, mine was installed for free. The picture frame twist locks into the bed holes and then the hitch fits into slots in the picture frame. The advantage is it allows you to get back to a bare bed without using tools. Basically, the picture frame replaces your mounting rails. Let us know how you make out.

I wound up getting a new hitch for my new truck to take advantage of the built in puck system. The hitch is specifically designed to drop into the puck mount holes. No need for a "picture frame" configuration. I got a B&W RVK3600. It seems to be very stable and well designed. I no longer needed a sliding hitch since my new truck is a long bed. The dealership gave me a $600 credit towards a new hitch.
I never had any problems with the Pullrite Superglide and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing a slider hitch.

You will love your new B&W hitch. The ease of hooking up and un-hooking, you will wonder why did I not do this sooner?

Jim

Have purchased a curt hitch and leg mount for my 2015 Ram. Easy to install. Thank you for all your input.

You are 100% correct Jim.
While the Superglide met all my needs and performed well, I am impressed with the B&W Companion hitch. It's solid, well made and no chucking at all.
