Irene

We have everything ready and we're waiting for Irene to hit us. The trailer is in the barn with the refer running and the fresh water tank full. If we loose power, the Monty will come in handy. Everyone along the East coast needs to prepare for her because she's on her way. Stay safe, everyone.

The last I heard on the news was that it had been downgraded somewhat. Maybe it won’t be as bad as what was anticipated. However, I think anyone in the path should be well prepared.

We are ready here also. Yet we are much farther west of the path than you folks. Be careful and good luck! Larry

Jim...good luck - hope the storm heads east out to sea. We are suppose to get hit too but being about 70 miles inland we hope the winds are diminished. Putting water in the Monty and getting gas cans filled so I can use my generator if needed.

I guess most of us along the East Coast have our fingers crossed, and are praying for the best. No matter how much you prepare you always wonder
if you have prepared enough. Now we wait to find out.

Well Jim, hope a little rain is the most you get, how ever, be as safe as you can. My daughter is pretty much doing the same planning as you mentioned, hope the best for her also.

Best of luck to all of you on the east coast. The boy scout motto "be prepared" is certainly applicable in this situation. Sounds like we have a bunch of scouts here and that's a good thing.
We will monitor the progress of the storm from here in Colorado.

Don't forget those important papers in the stick and put them in plastic bags and a good tight box and take them with you if you need to leave for the Monte! Take care and we'll see you in about 3 1/2 weeks in Goshen!

We're doing good. It's raining in sheets and we already have 1 1/2 inches of water.

We had a band of rain about 4 this afternoon, torrential, after that the sun came back out. Since it has been mixed. Our sunset here was beautiful gold to the west and very red in the east.

Thanks, I think we are far enough inland to survive OK. Came home early to see my son off to A'stan. He's there safe and sound. His wife and two daughters are with us until Irene is gone. Just thought I'd rib Jim a little.
