How many of you have the TV bed treated
How many have the TV bed treated with Rhino or other types of coatings?
How many have a plug for the 5er in the bed?
Where front or back drivers side or passenger side?
Thanks
Chuck

I just plug in to the bumper plug in. Use a little wrap on the tail gate to make sure the cable does not go where I do not want it. Yes, get any of the top brand spray on liners. I like LineX better than Rhino. Keeps things where you put them and no scratches. Your bed will look nice for a long time.
I like your choice of truck.

Chuck,
We drive a 2007 Chevy 2500HD,crew cab, shortbed, Duramax/Allison/, 4X4. We have a Retrax sliding cover for it when not towing and a Reese Slider in it! I had my bed Rhino coated when I got it before having the Monty. When they installed the Reese I had them install the power hookup on the drivers side rear. Have had no problems with that connection and don't have to use the bumper connection then either. When I tow, I connect the pin cable to the Reese and have had no problem with it catching either.

We have the slide in liner because it was a part of the deal with the dealer. We have a plug for the Monty on the driver's side just in front of the tool box. Our RV Tech (whom we have used for years and love) runs an extension from the bumper plug in up to the bed and installs a plug there. He says this helps with any question about power on warranty with the TV manufacturer.
Happy trails.....................

Line-x with the trailer connector between fender well and tailgate. I use a bed mat also because line-x will not keep things where I put them. Just roll in front of hitch when its in. A cooler will slide back to front with every stop without it. Hitch dealer and RV dealer said get bed coated before hitch install.

No bed liner, last 4 or 5 Trucks we had the spray in bed liner. But have quit using spray in liners, the cost is the concern and not keeping Truck over 3 or 4 years. The Rino or Line x are great, however the cost just is not justifiable. I have both plugs for the Truck one mounted on the pilar just about one inch to the left of the tailgate and the other at the receiver hitch. I always try to get the Truck with the camper package for the extra connection cable ($35.00 extra) but don't have to splice into any cables. We don't use our Truck to haul very much, we have utility trailers to haul equipment/Tractor or what ever. Good Luck on your choice.... GBY...

Plug in driver's side rear of the fender, (works great since it is next to where the cable comes out of the pin-box. No liner yet but haven't decided between spray in or just a rubber mat for the bottom.
Only use the truck for pulling the Montana so am having a hard time justifying the cost of the spray in, but who knows......

Thanks everyone. I've always used the rubber mat in the past, also I never had a plug inside the bed. This truck came with the harness for the plug inside the bed. I was just trying to figure out which is best in front of wheel well or behind it. Seems evenly split.
Montana Sky thanks for your input as I know you pull horse trailers also. And this was my concern having it in the right spot for both uses. I'm going to have it installed in the back since this bed is so darn tall I'll be able to get to it easier here.
Can you believe this, the after market people have not released any running boards (not pipes but boards) for the 2007.5 or 2008 yet! It may be another 4 - 6 months I'm being told. This may mean I get in the habit of having a 2 step ladder in the truck. Boy did I ever come to rely on those running boards along side the bed.
thanks for the replies

lwcdg,
I believe either location for the plug will serve you well, all comes down to personal choice. I am very anxious to hear how your new LMM tows your coach.

Yesterday Line-x installed the B & W ball system, the bed liner, the plug in the left rear side, mud flaps, chrome door handle coverings, rain guards, chrome bed rails and emptied my wallet. I am now accepting donations.
