Palebluedot is OK !!

Hello everyone and thanks to all for your concern and prayers. Finally got power via generator and the satellite internet still works. Even though we are 90 miles inland from the Gulf, Katrina was a very nasty lady, MUCH worse than Camille in 1969. We have over 30 large trees (80 ft. pines and 100 year old oaks) down all around the house. A large oak crushed my work shop and one of it's limbs demolished the adjacant shed where the TV was kept and dented in the cab roof - still driveable however. The power is out for miles but the water came back on yesterday thanks goodness. The greatest thing is having the Montana and being able to sleep nights cool in this 90 degree heat.We have plenty food. The main problem is getting gas for the generator. Only a very few stations open for an hour or two due to power issues. Forecast is for power to be out 3-5 weeks. It took me and my neighbor two days to clear the trees from the drive to reach the main road to town where most everything is closed anyway. Everyone be proud of your Montana. I know first hand that it will survive 130 MPH winds. The 3280RL came through with out a scratch, surviving a large pine tree top missing it about 20 feet. Of all the trees falling, by God's grace all missed the house. The only damage to the house was blown off shingles. Thanks again for all your prayers. More later. Palebluedot.

Thank the Lord, you guys are safe. Those pine trees can be deadly in a storm. I'm so glad that none landed on your home or your Montana. Wish we were there to help.

We are so glad to hear that you're ok. What a frightening week this must have been for you. Glad the Montana made it through. That generator sure comes in handy doesn't it? We'll keep you in our prayers.

Thank you Lord! Bill we were really concerned and are so glad you two are OK. I am not a particularly religious person but not knowing your situation had me praying for you.

Hey there! Really glad to hear from ya. Sounds like you guys did pretty good considering the nasty stuff you suffered through! We been praying hard for ya! Sorry to hear bout the TV. Hope we never test the 130 MPH winds tho, but great to hear Montana did so well.

Good luck on the clean up and repairs. Hope to see you soon on the road.

Thanks for checking in. So very happy to hear you guys made it through. I can certainly empathize with what you are going through.

Miss Montana made it through 95 mph winds sitting under a huge oak canopy during Charley and 85 mph sustained and 105 gusts hooked up to Lady-Ram in a disney parking lot during Jeanne. I was pleasantly surprised.

I did not have a generator after Charley, but it sure was nice having a tank of water, stove and a refrigerator. It sure made life a little more comfortable.

God's speed with getting the clean up done.

Thankful to hear that you made it through the storm safely and that your home and Montana survived intact. I can't even imagine the ordeal of clean up, but we'll be praying things get better for you every day.

Palebluedot,

It is great to hear that you are OK.

I have dozens of questions about the
Montana surviving 130 MPH winds. I know that you are very busy, but I would appreciate finding out:
1. Was the Montana tied down in any way?
2. Was it sheltered by a building or trees?
3. Was the wind direction against the front, back or side of the Montana?
Anything that you can tell me would be helpful as I will be in Florida before the hurricane season ends.

Thanks,
Glenn

That's a huge relief, knowing you folks are ok and the damage is not worse.

Anybody know what other members are from the damage area?
