3820 fk mntana

We went and looked at a 2017 montana 3820fk front kitchen set up
The wife liked the kitchen because everything is her level 5'4 I kinda like the floor plan
The slidin bathroom door is something to get use to. My concern. Is the loss of storage space in the living room and basement storage is about 1/2 of what we have. A
2014 3625 re with lots of cabinets in rear entertainment and a big basement storage , so to those who have this model how Odis you deal with the storage if you went from a big storage to this model thanks in advance

IMHO I do not think this Model will not be a big seller(for us Fulltimers) ,if you like cooking like my wife this FK layout turns her off as there is no big pantry,No island, not that much counter space, she does not like the booth setup and for me the lack of basement storage is a real deal breaker , we are so glad we bought our 3735MK before they stopped making them as they put the FK to shame for people that LOVE to Cook,Having said that if you are a Part timer/vacationer it might appeal to ya

I think that when people get over the novelty of the FK that it will be a flop.

Not being able to get in the booth from the refrigerator side killed it for us.

I saw this model at the Topeka RV show this spring ... here's a post and many of our takes on the issues once you get past the "eye candy".

Saw one last week for the first time. Looked at the basement storage in the front and started looking for the rest of the storage area. None to be found. I don't think you could possibly full time in this rig.

OK, we have only had our 2017 3820FK for 2 weeks now, and we are going on our first big adventure in 10 days. So far we love it, but the storage thing is a problem. I might want to reconsider that I put that Propane Onan generator in the front, which takes up every inch of the front storage area. The other front storage is the two batteries and venting and hydraulics. Then the side door on the driver side that is for the full thru storage area is about 4" wider than on the opposite side, and my Weber gas BBQ I bought at camping world just squeezed in on the wider side door. But that and my compressor would not go in on the passenger side door, because it is narrower? DW says I am not utilizing my space properly, and says there should be a double decker shelf system in this thru storage area? Might have to think about that. The only other storage area is under the master bedroom bed coming from the outside or inside. The opening is a small in height and 4 feet wide, so no double decking in this storage area? We got the Legacy edition with full bod paint and every option they offer, and all the hardwood and crown moulding and LED lighting is nice, but DW has hit her head about 5 times already on the keystone decorations that are on the CL of every major window. The one she hits her head on is the CL of the Kitchen/buffet slide out, since it is right at head height? Keystone should fix this on future models?

Marilyn really liked that she could reach all the cupboards.

When we got our 3585SA almost 5 years ago the first mod I made was to install a double decker system throughout the entire basement storage area. What a difference it makes!
