I've never had a diesel that required DEF before this one. I asked the dealership when I needed to add more DEF and they told me that I didn't add it until the truck displayed a message that I should. I can't believe that there is not a gauge that tells you how much you have left. Just to be safe, I purchased a gallon and carry it with me.

No Gauge on the truck for DEF. I add DEF to my truck from time to time. I have never seen the light come on.
