storing without winterizing?

I know about the winterizing process, but what if you are storing your trailer for a few months in warm weather? I can see flushing all the waste water tanks and draining the fresh water tank, but what else? I always leave the refer doors open. Anything else? What about the Hot water heater; drank it also?

I would drain the tanks as well as the water heater and open the low point drains and drain the lines. Also, if you're storing it in someplace hot and dry, AZ for instance, a bucket of water left inside can help the cabinets from cracking.

Folks who leave their rigs in our park in Florida cover the windows with heat reflectors, place dry all or other humidity fighters around the rig, place rat traps and spray heavily for insects and bugs, drain all water, vent the unit, run the tires up on wood or plastic boards, fill gray and black tanks half way, add black tank chemicals, wax the unit, cover tires, apply UVA protection to the roof, and many use covers although those covers do not hold up well to Florida sun and weather.

James,

After every trip, I drain the fresh water, open all the water lines, and drain the water heater. Only takes 5 minutes once you figure it all out, and water tastes better. When I expect freezing temps, I put pink stuff in the drains and use compress air to blow the water lines out.

Sounds like a plan I should follow when storing for a few months.

BTW, glad you have a new Monty on order.
