Tires Turning?

We have a driveway that is slanted higher in back to lower at the bottom. When I back sharply off of our street and onto the blacktopped driveway, we notice that as I'm turning, the outside tires turn a little; a little like a turning steering wheel if you will. Then, going forward and backward, they straighten out and I park and unhook.

Anyone know if this seems normal?

Hello Wayne, that is indeed normal and it scared me when I first noticed it years ago. It is much more dramatic on pavement where the tires tend to "bite" more. The axles and backplates are designed to give quite a bit, but it does look a little scary when you first see it. I thought I was going to snap a tire off the axle when I noticed it he first time. -Glenn

It is indeed normal and even more exaggerated with IS.

Normal, just pull forward or backward to relieve the stress on the tires.
