I have 2 very large feeders at my lake home and I have counted 32 birds buzzing them at once in the summer. They go through about a gallon every day until mid September. They are very aggressive but super fun to watch.

I gotta get me one of thoses this summer. I had a squirrel bungy last yr it is a trip to watch them jump on it to get the corn but the bigger birds stayed with it till it was gone!

We've got at least three kinds coming to ours now should have more types when the rest get back from Mexico. What empties our the quickest is the Gila Woodpecker. We have several that raid the hummingbird feeder if the suet feeder is empty. Not only can they get their bills in the holes they have tongues like ant eaters.

Yeah Dick, that would be cool to see.
Normally, I am not a fan of feeding ANY wildlife because of potential lifestyle problem for them and expecially for us (deer, bear or other animal encounters, for example), but somehow I don't think bird feeders fall into this category. Ironic, huh?
