I’ve had the situation you describe happen. Was able to resolve by changing the programming. Had to read the directions couple of times - don’t like them. If it is programmed incorrectly program 1 and 2 can overlap. I had to read the direction to program correctly. I also fixed it by putting thermostat in manual mode, but again had to read again, it isn’t obvious how to get out of program mode.

Thank you to everyone who responded... I will definitely try out the suggestions and see if the problem goes away.

We have the opposite problem .we turn on our furnace in our 3791rd and air comes out of the ceiling vents in the livingroom. So we trip the actual breaker

The "feature" where the A/C fan runs with the furnace is well documented and even mentioned earlier. Set the furnace fan to Auto and the "feature" goes away.
What doesn't make sense is how the furnace (a 12V DC system) and the A/C fan (120V AC system) cause the breaker (120V AC) to trip.

I misunderstood what you had wrote. You turn off the breaker that supplies the A/C to stop the fan - correct?? Change the fan setting on the thermostat and then there is no need to turn off the breaker.

That same thing happened to me, the Mother-in-law was pressing too many buttons and causes this to happen. My son-in-law Googled the solution, the fix was a matter of pressing 2 buttons at the same time and it resolved the problem- Google it

How did you know the furnace was kicking on? Was warm air blowing from the stairs? New to this so not sure why I can't get the 5th wheel cool.

Could hear the blower motor start up. The Dometic thermostat was a real gem. Lol.
