SAFETY GRAB BARS FOR SHOWER

Can anyone please tell me where I can find the safety grab bars for the shower? The ones that attach; not the suction type. We've had those and they're more dangerous that helpful. We bought some at Lowe's, but they were not for an RV and the screws would have gone through the wall. Thanks

Have you thought of using epoxy for the grab bars?

Hadn't thot of that, but it's a good idea if I can't find some that attach otherwise. Thanks for the suggestion.

Why not screw them to the wall and just put a bit of silicone on the screw when attaching the bars?

If you want them to be sturdy enough to support weight, you will need more than screws through the thin shower walls. When the bars are installed in a house, there is a backer board behind the shower wall to hold long screws.

We have used the vacuum handles put on the glass, not the wall. The glass holds the suction better than the plastic surface.

I agree with Stiles that PVC shower inclosure dont give you much to grab for a weight holding bar. unless you use the outside wall of the shower and try to hit some of that alumium frame structure. Im suprised that the RV industry has not figured that out yet for the elderly and handycaped

Shoot, on our rig they hadn't even figured out that a grab bar/railing would be nice for the stairs. I had to install that.
