In floor heating

Hi everybody, new to the forum like to say hi to everybody. We just purchased a new 2015 Montana 3100RL with the Legacy option and my question is the in floor heating seems to be only in the bathroom the literature says upper deck bathroom and bedroom. the 2nd part to this is we turned the floor heat on during the pdi and after 20-30 minutes the floor in the bathroom got really really hot in one spot(6" x 3") we shot it with a infrared heat gun and it was 87.8f can anyone else comment on this . Thanks Brent

Our trailer is the model 3790RD and the floor in front of the vanity gets warm, also the floor in the bedroom between the bed and the wall next to the bathroom gets warm. I couldn't tell if the floor on the closet side of the bed got warm as our large dog was sleeping there. I had only tried it once. The brochure is sure misleading when it says the upper deck has a heated floor.

Ours is only in the bathroom. We like it when it's cold out. Nice walking on warm floor in the middle of the night.

Ours has that option and the floor in the bathroom mainly between the vanity and shower and a small amount in the bedroom is all that warms up. My opinion is great advertising with little real world results. I was led to believe that the bedroom and bathroom floors would both be heated. Not so in the real world.
I do use it in the cooler weather because it is better than nothing.

It will be interesting what they tell my dealer. The hot spot also worries me . My dealer is going to see how hot it will get. most radiant in floor have a temp probe I wonder if this does or it uses the thermostat on the wall if it does use the wall thermostat it will most likely never shut off.

My 2015 3440RL Legacy has this warms the bathroom floor very nicely and to some degree the bedroom floor by the wall, I appreciate it.

They dropped the heated floor from the most current versions of the 2016 Legacy models. The first batch of 2016's had the heated floor and for whatever reason they discontinued the option from the latest versions.

It seems like they replaced the heated floor with the tablet that controls everything. I have a early 2016 legacy with the sucky heated floor

In our 09 the bathroom's heating vent is on the floor. That's not "in floor" heating but it sure warms the bathroom from the bottom up! Toasty!!

I think there is a limit to ammenities in RV's, but my recreational camping needs are lesser than full or long timers. We have a nice soft throw rug in the bathroom that covers up most of the cold floor and doesn't take any power to run it.

x2 Hedgehog. That's exactly what I noticed too. The tablet is part of the "On Command" system. I've only had our 2016 3000RE a few weeks, so I'm not sure if I like the On Command system yet or not. One thing that I know I don't like is that it doesn't have the switches for 99% of things. This means that you have to open the app either on your phone, or in the control center, log in your code, scroll to the light you want to turn on, and then press the button. It's a pita for sure! But on the flip side, its nice that you can use your phone to open slides, raise and lower the landing legs (front only) and flip on outside lights when you're already outside. In a perfect world I would have liked to had the switches AND the On Command system, that would have been very handy indeed. So.. did you get the short end of the stick getting the not so heated floors instead? Only time will tell! :-)

I wondered about those very things when the dealer was showing me hoping I'd wait and buy a late 2016 instead of the one we got. The future connectivity problems, and hardware issues I wasn't interested.

Good luck with the touch screen Kampn. It's too bad they didn't have switches for backup in case of a glitch in the system.
