Decal repair
We have a couple of "scratches" on part of the decal on the front cap of our Montana...something crashing into us at highway speed??? However they got there is of no real concern, but I would like to repair the scratches. They are not big nor are they very noticeable, but I notice them every time I look at the front cap! Can somethng like this be "touched up" like a scratch on a vehicle? The scratches do go all the way through the decal to the cap.

Decals are made of vinyl with adhesive backing ... Just like the automotive applications, other than replacing the decal I've not heard of any alternative that would cosmetically repair a decal ... or should I say none that would not make it even more noticable

Thanks for the input...will continue looking, although not something that will be near the top of our list of things to do!

I have in the past touched up minor scratches, and stone hits, by using the closest matching auto touchup paint. Not for tears, just small scratches. Sometimes just a black marker will hide those tiny spots that occur. I have found the perfect touchup for fiberglass scratches, the white porcelain repair kits carried by home depot match extremely well.

That's what I was thinking, they sell Sharpie permanent markers in packs of lots of colors. Figure it's got to be better looking then a scratch or chip. Sharpies last forever too.

Steelpony/1retired...thanks for your ideas. Sounds like the fix I was looking for. Anyone out there know any reason why I should not use either of these fixes??????

Like steelpony, we use permanent markers to hide the scratches.
