Odor under sink

There is a sewer odor under the sink cabnet. I have looked everywhere under there and can not find any leaks. There is a vent to help in drainage. Do they go bad or am I missing something? Thanks

They can stick open and allow odor to back out.

Which sink cabinet has the odor? The one in the kitchen or the one in the bedroom vanity? If it's the bedroom one, are you plumbed for a washer/dryer? If so, it is likely those lines are the culprit. There have been previous posts about this problem that can be found doing a "Search". I believe running fresh water through all the lines will cure the smell.

In Canada it is called a cheater valve. They do go bad and are not hard to change. Any hardware store or home depot should carry them.
