Needless Scrolling

The extra long URLs on a page cause scrolling for that page. I know there is a way of making the URLs smaller but I don't know what it is. Perhaps someone in the know can provide the words necessary so that the URLs will fit on a normal 600 X 800 screen.

[url= " BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, /" ] write your little description [ /url]

All you should see on the page is " write your little description "

But no spaces

When posting an URL you can insert a "Hyperlink" to click on instead of the extra long URL. Just type a short descriptive word(s) that identify the URL, highlight the text(left click your mouse, and roll it over the text) once the text is highlighted click the "Insert Hyperlink" icon on the "Format" row, make sure you select the "Prompt" option in the drop-down box in the "Format Mode" choice, this will pop-up the dialog box to insert the URL...

Something Like This: Google

Hope I didn't make it too confusing!!!

What you just posted works very well jpbcny.

I just worked through it like you said and it didn't work until I selected the format mode to prompt. Bingo - there it was. Just leave the http:// highlighted and paste the url address over it.

This hyperlink business confuses a lot of members. Maybe this one will do it for them.

JH Sechelt got it too...once you get it to work in the preview window, you've got it.
