Kitchen Slide Carpet Bunching

I have a 2016 HC375FL. The kitchen slide carpet is always bunched up at the rear left front of the slide and refuses to lay flat when the slide is out. It gets bunched up when the slide is closed as it is compressed against the kitchen cabinets.

Does anyone have a trick to get the carpet to lay flat. Keystone has of course written me a length email basically telling me to live with it or go buy a brick to lay on it. Thanks for nothing Keystone in your $75,000 RV. If I did go buy a brick I would find another use for it but then that would require a long drive.

Mine lays flat after a day, just needs time to relax

How I wish. My slide has been out at the dealers for a couple weeks and it is still bunched up.

try, rolling it in the opposite direction, it was probably sitting with the slide closed for a long time.

Yes all winter in Michigan Maybe when it gets back from its current 2.5 month warranty visit I will try rolling it and maybe wetting it when rolled. It is galling to hear from owner relations that that is a common issue with carpeting hitting my island as I do not have an island. I guess you all with the slide closed carpet issues just learn to live with it.

I have the island, so when it hits that it rolls up. If you don't have an island, what is causing it to not lay flat?

My slide almost butts against a Kitchen Cabinet and hall doorway it really bunches it tight with no rolling up possible by myself. The carpet is so stiff it holds the bunch forever.

Gotcha, I suppose you could cut the excess carpet, but then you would need to hem it so it doesn't fray

It is a trip hazard for us old folks. The Dealer also though it was long and should be cut and hemmed but they do not have the equipment nor would Keystone Authorize it.

Thanks for the suggestions maybe after warranty I will get a carpet man to fix it correctly. I would not want to cut it while the whole piece is under warranty for what little that warranty is worth.

Not trying to downplay your frustration, but $75,000 for a High Country or is that their fake MSRP?!

That is the MSRP. My sticker was actually $76 and change. I paid 48K.
