Mine goes into dealer on the 29th. My separation is along the horizontal seem just below and in front of the bedroom slide. I also have a bulge in the wall just in front of the slide which is pushing out the seem molding you show.

We had the frame flex issue on our trailer and Keystone didn't hesitate to fix it. Their response to the issue and repair were phenomenal.

Baldicon, You should be good since yours is a 2019. I would have a conversation with your dealer about how they will fix it and their experience in fixing this issue. It’s a large job involving removing the front cap and adding bracing, etc. Wish you the best through the process.

Our's should be under warranty. Hope they cover yours if it turns out to be frame flex. Whiskey sounds good either way.

Yes, I've seen pictures of the repair work and have a copy of the TSB covering the repair. I haven't asked yet, was planning on discussing more when we take it in. They are a fairly large dealer so hope they have some experience with this issue. I guess my other option would be take back to factory.

How much does that seam flex? Looks like about 1/2" in the pic. Mine does that but the difference is about 1/8" between hitched and unhitched. Mine has no bulging on the vertical seam. I've been told it's probably ok but, is it?

How old is your rig (same as your sig, 2016?), which one do you have and how much use does it have on it? These are some helpful questions in answering your question.

The horizontal seam opens up approximately 1/4' and the bulge is close is a good 3/16". And that's my concern that they will say it's not bad enough to repair, and it only gets worse. Also concerned about water wicking into the seperated seam and causing more damage.

Your rig is new enough and I would think Montana/LCI (the frame maker) would rather deal with this now vs. later when it’s worse. I know for me, if they step up and take of this I would not hesitate to purchase another Montana in the future and if they didn’t step up and take responsibility, well then I would not buy another Keystone product and take my business and referrals elsewhere.

Mine is a 16 3160 bought new in 15. It goes about 6k miles per year. Coming up on 30k miles total.

Once I get my rig back I will update with the results with photos. Thank you to those on the message boards here for your input and help!
Make sure they have a certified aluminum welder. TSB states if they do not, they are supposed to bring someone in to do the welding.

Good call! Yes, the last thing anyone would want would be another failure!

I would check and see if your dealer is up on the issue and run it by them. It may be worth more investigation since you have some movement but not as much as most others are reporting. Just my opinion but you have a fair amount of use and age on your rig and I would think, it would be worse by now. Mine is just 3 years and way less mileage than yours yet my damage/issue was pretty obvious. Not sure what it would cost to remove your front cap and see inside and put it back if all ok but that might give you the difinative answer? Bottom line, yours seems a bit tougher to say for sure you have a frame/framing issue.

Thanks! It really helps knowing what's inside and what broke. Seeing this and having the TSB gives me enough confidence to fix it myself if mine needs it.

Two and half weeks later I just picked up my 2017 3160RL after the repair and all is great, solid with very little hassle. I dropped rig off on a Saturday, service manager knew right off the bat that I had the broken weld, sidewall, frame flex issue. They communicated first thing on Monday with Keystone on the dealer support side, I contacted the customer support for the second time via email asking for coverage of the repair. That same day the dealer said the repairs were approved and would be covered. Yay!

Then, I received a reply on Tuesday from Keystone denying the repair because "there is an unauthorized hitch on the bumper of the unit. Keystone does not recommend pulling anything behind the unit."

I have a Curt bolt-on hitch receiver on my rear tube bumper to attached A two bicycle bike rack. I sent a reply with photos of the bike rack along with the fact there is no trailer wiring harness receptacle to tow anything, and why it would be crazy for me to double tow ANYTHING behind my trailer. A day later they said the repairs were now approved. Long story short, two weeks later I have my Montana back and it looks fantastic. The only sign of a repair is some fresh Dicor on the Cap/Roof seam and a new short seam in the sidewall, in the upper left corner of the bedroom slide. All looks factory fresh. The repair entailed re-welding joints, adding gussets in corners and putting wood filler strips/boards into the bottom tubes where the wall attaches to the frame. See attached TSB.

At the end of the day for others, especially shoppers of a Montana or other Keystone product.
1. Find a good dealer. I tried my local dealer and ended up two hours away at Folsom Lake RV in Rancho Cordova, CA. Family-owned, no games, very efficient, and they stand behind their customers.
2. Keep an eye on the forums to stay up on any issues. I almost thought mine was not a big deal and for a second was going to wait for it to get worse until I read up on this issue.
3. This issue appears to not be just a Keystone issue but looks like the same/similar issue has occurred on other brands and many other years of rigs.
4. My guess is this is not super widespread compared to the number of rigs on the road, but if it happens to yours its no fun.
5. Finally, I would not hesitate to buy another Montana in the future.

Attached are the final photos, sorry no photos of repairs themselves.
