Question Montana 3400 RL

Hi all, we are new to the site. We just bought a used 2010 Montana 3400RL. We reallly like it but are having trouble with the hot water heater. We didn't get any manuals and would like to know where the switch is to chante from Elect to Propane? Any thoughts? Thanks and look forward for a post. Ron and Lucy,

Welcome aboard! You got a very popular floor plan. If there isn't a switch on the control panel for electric water heater then look on the water heater itself. On an older 5er there was a button there.

Not sure about yours, but on mine, if I want to run on propane there is a switch by the steps to bedroom. If I want to run on electric, I have to go outside and flip a switch inside the cover to the water heater.

My 2010 was a different model, but it had switches for electric and propane inside. The electric, however, had a small black switch inside the water heater cover intended to keep you from turning the electric on if the water was drained and burning out the element. Once you turn that little switch on the inside switch will control it from then on.
